    DHAKA: Beginning next month, India will reportedly dredge the
    Ichhamati river in Bangladesh as the south Asian neighbours co-operate
    for the first time to protect rivers they share. Dredging of around
    300 or more rivers in Bangladesh is urgently required, media reports
    say, resulting in heavy silting and reduced water flow. A recent
    report by the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority has
    concluded that over 2,600 km of riverbed have been lost due to
    silting, affecting navigation…
