Now let me teach you something about how to read and comprehend. And this is the problem with you. You even read the Quran like you just interpreted the above quote. You completely disregarded the first part. The President first condemned the incident. The incident of kidnapping AND BEHEADING. When do you condemn an incident? When it is verified and accepted as something that actually happened, in reality. Then he orders to investigate the crime to find out "WHO" committed this heinous crime and take appropriate action under the law. When do you investigate an incidence? After an incident has taken place. What was the incident here? The beheading that he condemned. So you see he did not ask to investigate if the reports were true, he asked to investigate the crime to capture and bring to justice those who committed this act.

The word "reportedly" that you are hanging from is in context of the kidnapping and not beheading. It was reported by the families that their people were kidnapped and the kidnappers were demanding a ransom. Reportedly, because that is what was reported to the police authorities at the time. Those sikhs were not beheaded at that time.

You asked for verification and I provided a pretty strong one from the top man himself, the President. You asked for the meaning of "reportedly", I provided you with more than enough. Now, you being a PhD in mass communication and an Assistant Professor of English language should be able to comprehend this whole report and for once say yes this was wrong. But you won't, I know that.

Yes, your criminals are giving fierce resistance to the American troops. You know why and how? They are fighting from their hideouts, not in the open like the American troops. They hide in the mosques, behind women and children where it is hard to identify them and when the American soldiers turn their backs they stab them in the back like cowards. When Quran is so clear about lies and slander, why do you feel the need to go so far as the following comments which are against its teachings?

Anybody who recites the Shahada is considered a muslim. Although the shias do add allegiance to Ali r.a. to this, that is in no way against the spirit of tauhid.

Islam also does not tolerate, nor does it allow, unnecessary killing of human beings. Then how would you describe people who commit these heinous crimes. Would they also not be considered Kafirs? I didn't see any criticism against these people in your post.

Please understand the far reaching implications of your statements above. You may be held liable for slander in the court of Allah in the hereafter. Although the Ahle Sunna do not consider Shia beliefs on par with the rest of us, this in no way make them any worse than some of our own Sunni brothers. We don't call them "kafir", now do we? If you look at the history of Shias and specially the fatimids, they have contributed considerably to the cause of Islam. Their schools have produced reknowned scientists, mathematicians, philosophers, astronomers and have influenced some of our own ulemas of the past. We must recognize this and appreciate and give credit where it is due. Islam at this point in time does not need any more divisions, rather we need to unite and deal with the problems faced by the larger Ummah as one.

There are forces that have been working very hard over a long period of time to divide the Ummah and your rhetoric is only lending them a helping hand. Let us do the right thing, the need of time, and take the best that others have to offer for betterment of our own.

As great a war hero that Salaadin was, do you realize that his own toiled was almost flushed by the Assassins (by some accounts of history) but they spared his life and Salaadin abruptly ended the seige of Assissins?

So let us be fair and make inroads towards achieving and spreading the Islamic brotherhood instead of self exterminating ourselves.
