Proof that the U.S. targets civilians in Iraq

(Photo of grieving son of Saeed Chmagh, a Reuters journalist murdered in the attack)

The following leaked video shows the U.S. military massacring unarmed civilians. The initial attack was on a group of unarmed civilians in the street, two of whom were Reuters reporters who were carrying cameras. The military personal may have thought the cameras were guns, but the rest of the crowd was clearly unarmed. Yet, the video clearly shows the military opening fire on the entire crowd, leaving a pile of corpses. Later, unarmed rescuers show-up, also clearly unarmed, and they are also fired on, killing more people and wounding two children very badly. After these initial U.S. attacks on civilians, Hellfire missiles are also fired into residential apartments, killing families.

The calm voices of the U.S. military personal shows that this was routine, this was just another day at the office. The entire massacre was approved by commanders, and the U.S. military investigated these murders and cleared everyone involved of wrong doing. For the U.S. military, the murder of unarmed civilians is routine and accepted procedure in Iraq.

This is further proof of how over a million Iraqis have died as a result of the U.S. invasion. While many were massacred by the death squad government the U.S. imposed on Iraq and the civil war that the invasion unleashed, this is further confirmation that many have also been slaughtered indiscriminately by U.S. occupation forces.
