Iranian Protestors Leading Poll for Time Magazine "Person of the Year"

December 3, 2009, Washington, D. C. - Time Magazine's annual poll on who should be "Person of the Year" includes Iranian protestors in the aftermath of the June 12, 2009 elections. "For several weeks over the summer, the hordes of Iranians clogging the streets to oppose an apparently rigged presidential election gripped much of the world" said Time Magazine. "Their courage and determination in the face of a brutal government crackdown demonstrated the depth of their willingness to fight for what they believed in."

All-American Football Legend Jamshid "Jim" Bakhtiar Honored

December 3, 2009, Washington, D.C. – Dr. Jamshid "Jim" Bakhtiar whose performance as part of the University of Virginia football team earned him All-America honors in 1957 had his jersey retired during halftime at the UVA vs Virginia Tech football game on Saturday, November 28, 2009.  Bakhtiar will also be honored as a 2009 Legend at the Atlantic Coast Conference Football Championship Game on December 5th, during pre-game ceremonies at Raymond James Stadium (University of South Florida) for the 5th Annual Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship.

Clippers play-by-play man Ralph Lawler and color analyst Michael Smith met with Grizzlies center Hamed Haddadi before Sunday's game at Staples Center on November 29th, where they expressed regret for an incident that earned the TV broadcasters a one-game suspension.
