CEO of Fox Sports Responds to PAAIA's Letter of Concern over Haddadi Remarks
December 21, 2009, Washington D.C. - In a letter dated December 8th, David Hill, Chairman and CEO of Fox Sports Television Group responded to PAAIA's letter expressing concern over the insensitive on-air remarks about Grizzlies Iranian center Hamed Haddadi during a November 18th broadcast of their game against the LA Clippers.

Passing the Torch of Success 2010
Nearly 2000 Iranian Americans gathered for the historic "Passing the Torch of Success" event at UCLA's Royce Hall on May 10, 2009. "Thank you for an amazing event at UCLA", said Mehrnoosh, in attendance, "it has really inspired me as an Iranian American." Also in attendance, Amir added "[This was] the best advice I had ever gotten in my life."
Following the success of this unprecedented event and by popular demand, PAAIA is pleased to bring a similarly inspiring gathering of extraordinary Iranian Americans to Orange County. This event will be hosted by the illustrious Rudi Bakhtiar and the charismatic comedian K-Von and will feature a new, diverse group of Iranian Americans who have paved a path of excellence and will bring with them unique experiences and inspirational messages.

PAAIA Reminds Iranian Americans to Adopt a Library and Donate the Book "Ancient Iran" this Holiday Season

December 23, 2009, Washington D.C. - PAAIA reminds Iranian Americans to give a gift this holiday season that keeps on giving by donating the award winning children's book "Ancient Iran" by Massoume Price to city, public, town and school libraries across North America.
To increase awareness of our heritage and culture, it is important that the vast and rich history and heritage of Iran be made readily available to all Americans. PAAIA Donors can either take the books to their chosen libraries in person, or to make it easier, have the books shipped directly to the library of their choice, with a personalized donation card recognizing the donor included by the publisher.

December 22, 2009, Far Hills, NJ - The United States Golf Association (USGA) recently honored Iranian American M. Ali Harivandi, Ph.D. with the Green Section's Piper and Oakley Award. The award, established in 1998, recognizes meritorious service to the USGA Green Section and its activities and programs by a volunteer. The honor is not awarded annually, but is granted when an outstanding nominee is recognized.
