Hi,

Filmmakers, writers and actors are meeting up at the Actors Centre (London) for Non-Multiplex Cinema's Network Meeting. A chance to meet the people who make films and join in the fun. If you too want to make films, meet new contacts and get to know the industry a little better, come down and join us at the Actors Centre tomorrow on Thursday the 4th March at 7pm. This is a free event in a relaxed atmosphere over a drink or two. We will be asking what films do you want to make in the coming year? How do you think the film community can help you? And how contributing can help you too. Spaces are limited. Details here. To reserve a place email info@nonmultiplexcinema.com asap.

Check out the rest of this email to find out what we do. We also have our Films in the City screening event on the 6th April. So if you have a great short film, please send a DVD to us to the address below.

All the best,
Julian and the Non-Multiplex Cinema team

Films in the City NETWORKING

We hold regular events (such as our popular Films in the City or our Film Networking events) throughout the year to encourage filmmakers to talk to each other. After all filmmaking is a collaborative process and sometimes it boils down to who you know.

SCREENINGS

There is nothing like seeing your film on the big screen. In the UK, the opportunities to do that can be slim or slimmer for the independent and the foreign film. We screen these through our short film screening Films in the City evenings and lend our support to the feature film gems that deserve an audience through our Film Club events at independent cinemas.

PRODUCTION

If you love making films then come meet up with a gung-ho, get up and go film community. Our films are made with love and passion through collective people power and resources.  Come start a project or make one together.

Captive
Memoirs of an Alien

We've just finished making Memoirs of an Alien, a dastardly funny half-hour sci-fi thriller TV pilot, currently doing the rounds. Our previous project was Captive, recent winner of the Portobello Film Festival Audience Award. Our love for new projects is insatiable.

Films in the City "Best of British Shorts" WEB TV

Watch for free some devastatingly good films on NonMX.TV. Like the filmmakers involved? Then get in contact with them as we provide contact details  for most films online here.

WRITING

It's called collective learning. We collectively analyze films and scripts together. We collectively review each others scripts.  We collectively teach and learn from each other. The surprise is how quickly you'll get better at screenwriting. To find out more email info@nonmultiplexcinema.com
