Boost to zionist Global Hindutva as Hollywood mogul James Cameron has said he could adapt one of the two Indian Epics - Mahabharata and Ramayan - for his next big screen spectacular after he wraps up the Avatar trilogy!
We have noticed the Mythology Business in the Emerging market with unprecedented Push for Economic ethnic cleansing.
In fact, the story of Glablisation as well as Glabal Manusmriti rule began with Live Telecast of Ramayan and Mahabharat, which justifies the Genocide Culture and Apartheid most.
Mahabharat has always been popular with the Zionists abroad.
But the Icon of Sub Humanity, Personification of Enslaved Bonded Brainwashed Aboriginal Indigenous Humanscape, HANUMAN and his master, the Aryan Genocide master Rama have emerged darling with LPG Mafia in alliance with Global Hindutva strategically aligned with Zionist anti Human Anti Nature Corpoarte war and Civil War Economy of Hatred and Holocaust!
Ramayan is an epic to establish the Untruth that Aryans had won entire India as it showcases the subordination of Dravidnadu to Aryan Chieftain Rama reducing the identity of the Non Aryan People as monkeys!
Rameshwaram is a Myth created to justify the Historical Manipulation geographically.
Whereas aboriginal and indigenous communities in the East, North east , West, Central India and South India sustained their Non Aryan identity until recently and aryan Empire, so called Arywart was limited within the Cow Belt excluding Rajsthan, Gujarat and central India where Meenas, Bheels, Gonds, Santhals, Mundas and other aboriginal tribes continued their supremacy even during British colonial rule.
The History of Aboriginal Indigenous Insurrections continues even today.
In fact, Hinduisation is the Extention of Global Imperialist Zionist Corporate Manusmriti rule which is identical with Monopolistic Aggression against Man and Nature.
The ruling Brahaminical Hegemony eased the way of Colonial Exploitation of Nature with the recent Cancun Deal killing the Environment and the Brahaminical Government of India Incs led by super slave super agent super corrupt extra constitutional elements played the instrumental role to defend the US Corporate interests betraying the third world!
It amy be understood, why superstructures of Hinduism like Rameshwaram, Meenakshi temple in Madurai, Chidambaram temple city and Tirupati Balaji were constructed to strengthen Brahaminical rule as Non Aryan anti Brahamin Dravid Movement is still ASSERTIVE!
Operation Green Hunt and AFPSA also meant to superimpose the Brahaminical rule in Aboriginal Humanscape of independent nationalities in the Himalayan region including kashmir and entire North East as well as Central India!
As Eastern India comprising Bihar, Orissa, Bengal and Assam have been Captured uprooting the Buddhist Aboriginal Indigenous influence so abundant even before British colonail rule.
The Brahamincal hegemony shaped in with Hindutva Resurgence called as Ranissance spanning from Jaidev and Chaitnay Mahaprabhu to Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Vidyasagar.

Attacking Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, the BJP today said the party should force him to resign for the "absurd" remarks on death of former Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare during the 26/11 terror strikes. Digvijay Singh stcks to his statement about shaffron terror but selfstyled Hindutva party Original, the Flagbearer of GandhianCorporate Bania Hindutva Congress Party has nothing to do agianst Shaffron terror as it promotes it nevertheless. Operation Blue star and Sikh Genocide, babri Mosque Demolition and Anti Muslim Anti Dalit Anti Adivasi Hate campaign and demonisation, AFPSA and Military Rule in Aboriginal Humanscape are some of the evidences!
However,Congress leader Digvijay Singh, who has kicked up a storm over his remarks on slain top cop Hement Karkare, on Sunday attacked the BJP, maintaining that the Maharastra ATS chief's life was under threat and the opposition lent its support to Hindu radical groups. "I want to ask Advaniji and Rajnathji why they went to meet the PM after Sadhvi Pragya was arrested after the Malegaon blast. Why did Rajnathji go to the jail to meet her? BJP has to answer these questions before they ask some to my Prime Minister," the Congress general secretary said in New Delhi.
Congress on Saturday distanced itself from party General Secretary Digvijay Singh's controversial remarks that the slain Mumbai ATS chief Hemant Karkare had told him that he feared for his safety from Hindu extremists. "There is no question of agreeing or disagreeing. It is regarding a conversation between two individuals. Unfortunately one of them Karkare is no more with us. So Digvijay Singh will be in a better position to comment on his statement," party general secretary Janardan Dwivedi told reporters.
The BJP slammed Singh on Saturday for his statement on Karkare's death and said it was a "serious blow" to India's fight against terror and an attempt to divert attention from scams facing the UPA. It demanded answers from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Singh had claimed that Karkare, who he knew personally as the police officer hailed from Madhya Pradesh, had talked about a threat to his life from those opposed to his probe into the Malegaon blast in which Hindu extremists were accused of being involved.
Asserting that he had never questioned the role of Pakistani elements in 26/11 Mumbai strikes, he said, "I also never said that right-wing activists were behind the terror attacks. But, it is a fact that I am on record saying that he (Karkare) was being threatened by some right-wing activists."
Trying to disassociate Congress party from the issue, Singh said, "its not a Congress party issue... the issue was a conversation between Digvijay Singh and Karkare".
On Saturday, Congress distanced itself from Digvijay's statement said the matter was "a conversation between two individuals".
Dwivedi said it appears that Singh personally knew Karkare, whose family hailed from Madhya Pradesh and the slain IPS officer had called him due to his personal association.
"Singh has made that private conversation public in a programme and the party has no role into it. Hence only he can comment on it. The party has nothing to say on it," he added.
Singh today stoked a controversy with his claim that Karkare had called him hours before the 26/11 terror strikes, saying that he feared for his safety from Hindu extremists, triggering a strong reaction from the BJP.
Reports had it that the Congress leader had made similar remarks during an interaction in a book release function in the national capital a few days back.
Singh claimed that Karkare had talked about a threat to his life from those opposed to his probe into the Malegaon blast in which Hindu extremists were accused.
"When I called him he said, he was receiving some threat calls. He did not know who was calling. An article was published in a magazine linked to RSS against his son. It alleged that his son had got some Rs 50 crore contract from Dubai while his son was just 17-years-old," he said.
Singh said that Karkare was a "little depressed" that top leaders of BJP including Rajnath Singh were questioning his integrity.
"After Malegaon blast, we nabbed people about whom I had prior knowledge. They were involved in terrorist activities. They were involved in (Mau) bomb blast and Bhopal bomb blast. I knew all these", Singh, a former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, said.
Singh noted at that time he had "some information that some people were questioning Karkare's integrity.....Among them there were top leaders from BJP, including Rajnath Singh. He was little depressed about this."
He said investigating agencies should look into all the matters.
BJP slammed Singh for his "irresponsible statement" on Karkare, saying it was a "serious blow" to India's fight against terror and an attempt to divert attention from scams facing the UPA.
Explaining his remarks, Singh later said he did not say that RSS was behind 26/11 Mumbai strikes and that he has
"absolutely no doubt" that Karkare was killed by Pakistani terrorists.
"I do not want to politicise this. I haven't said that RSS is behind 26/11. I have absolutely no doubt that he
was killed by Pakistani terrorist but BJP leaders including Rajnathji had questioned integrity of Karkare.
"The fact remains that Karkare was harassed by BJP leaders," he said.
The 2G spectrum scam is taking its toll outside the political arena.
The Open magazine has prised open a can of worms by putting the audio recordings and transcripts of conversations between corporate lobbyist Nira Radia of Vaishnavi Communications and her friends in the media on its website.
Radia was known for her proximity to the former telecom minister A. Raja. The tantalising transcripts feature Hindustan Times editorial director Vir Sanghvi and NDTV group editor Barkha Dutt.
They are heard promising to do political fixing for Radia, her corporate clients and political friends.
The recordings were done when Radia's phone lines were kept under surveillance by the I- T department for a few months in 2008 and 2009 and the excerpted portions here were recorded between May 11 and July 11, 2009. The Centre for Public Interest Litigation had submitted the recordings to the Supreme Court. Open magazine says though it is in "no position to endorse the contents of the recordings", it is nevertheless placing them on record. The contents no doubt would embarrass Indian media's glitterati.
In response to the story, NDTV strongly objected to the 'misrepresentation of conversations' between Barkha Dutt and Nira Radia.
Speaking at the INK conference in Lavasa, Cameron said "maybe right after the third (part of) Avatar ", he "might pick up ancient Indian epics". Terming India as a "fascinating country I have been to a couple of times", Cameron recalled taking a dip in the Ganga near Hardwar. The filmmaker implied that his interest in Indian spirituality and the epics was triggered off then.
"We saw pilgrims on our way," he said, adding his tryst with Hardwar happened around the time the Avatar frenzy was building up soon after the film's release. "It was nice to feed in the spirituality, nice to share in the belief system. You do feel a certain something, for sure," he said.
Cameron said his interest in the epics was also a result of getting to know the people of India during his visits. "I realised they were all real people in India," he said. "I was impressed with the energy of the nation and the rapidly changing modern India." While he wants to interpret one of the epics for screen on his own, he said he would also be keen to help Indian filmmakers willing to make a movie on the epics.
"If an Indian director wishes to use our 3D cameras and equipment to make a film on the Ramayan or the Mahabharata, we can offer technology that's already developed by us - the digital 3D Fusion Camera System and virtual camera," he said.
For now, of course, Cameron is in the process of scripting the sequels of Avatar . The second film of the series will be shot under the sea. The story will take the audience into the oceans of Pandora, the mythical planet where the first film unfolded, and will then expand to other planets.
"part of the focus in Avatar 2 would be in creating a different environment," Cameron said.
The filmmaker wants to carry forward his love for science through his technology-loaded ventures to non- film projects too.
"I don't think Hollywood has served science well. I'm not a scientist, rather I would call myself a science groupie," Cameron said.
Thanks to Avatar's mega success, he admits several NGOs approached him to use the film to spread environment awareness message.
Earlier this year, Cameron was in the Amazon where he was involved in protests against Belo Monte dam that the Brazilian government plans to construct very soon.
2G scam: Nira Radia tapes mind-boggling, says Supreme Court
The Supreme Court on Tuesday termed the murky revelations in the taped phone conversations of corporate lobbyist Nira Radia as "mind-boggling".
The court's remarks came during a hearing on the 2G spectrum scam.
Referring to the tapes, the court said: "We have often talked about pollution of rivers, even Ganga pollution. But this pollution is mind-boggling."
The CBI on its part agreed to submit the Radia tapes to the court in a sealed envelope. This was after petitioner Prashant Bhushan sought safe custody of the tapes.
Bhushan said the tapes should not be allowed to go missing like it happened with files related to the Adarsh housing scam.
Meanwhile, the government told the Supreme Court that it was ready for a Supreme Court-monitored probe into the 2G scam.
Outrage as Nira Radia tapes dent image of 4th Estate
In the early 1980s, Om Thanvi, the then resident editor of Jansatta in Chandigarh, got a call in the wee hours. The caller wanted to know if he was interested in getting a plot of land allotted to him.
Groggy and shocked, Thanvi jokingly said, "Even if I have the land, I don't have money to build a house." The caller was undeterred. "Why don't you take two plots then. Sell one, and use the money to construct another house." Thanvi was very clearly being offered a bribe by a powerful politician to silence his editorial attacks against the ruling party.
But the early morning shock of that offer pales in comparison to the revelations of the Nira Radia tapes. "Journalists used to be corrupted earlier for personal gains but the lobbying for corporates we are seeing now is shameful," says Thanvi, former secretary general of the Editors Guild of India.
The sense of shock among journalists is shared by the class of people they tap the most for stories. Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley says: "It is our job to interact with a variety of people, so the principle to be followed is that you will not be known by the company you keep but the people you avoid." He urges journalists to especially careful of corporate lobbyists.
"They not only corrupt people, they pollute systems," Jaitley says. But what happens when journalists become lobbyists themselves? They compromise the media's time-honoured role as watchdog, says Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav.
"2G is one scam that has exposed how every institution has been compromised to feed corporate and political greed," says Yadav. "That is why we want an impartial forum to investigate and book the individuals who have brought disrepute to the executive and the media."
The logic of the corruption process is very simple, says Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, who was on the Press Council's sub-committee that prepared a report on Paid News: How Corruption in the Indian Media Undermines Democracy.
What makes journalists easy targets is the delusion of grandeur that many of them suffer from. "Proximity to people in positions of power or wealth feeds the ego of certain journalists, and they feel as powerful and influential as the people they are with," says Guha Thakurta.
The stereotype of journalists as jholawallahs who believe in simple living and high thinking is now a part of folklore. But growing incomes haven't made the profession less corruptible. James Astill, South Asia bureau chief of The Economist says: "Temptations are on the rise, with increasingly competitive corporates willing to pay to get media coverage."
The Radia tapes have brought to light another issue: the fine line between source building for information collection and the transgression of journalistic ethics.
"Conversation between a source and journo is legitimate," tweets Rajdeep Sardesai, president of the Editors Guild of India, introducing a cautionary note in the discussion. "If quid pro quo is shown, expose it. Else, don't destroy hardearned reputations."
Agrees Sevanti Ninan, editor of the media watchdog website, The- Hoot.org. "The allegation of corruption does not apply here. It seems to be more about using her contacts to convey messages," she says of NDTV group editor Barkha Dutt's conversations with Radia.
Political old-timers, however, are not convinced. "Greed is the name of the game now," says CPI general secretary A.B. Bardhan. "Ethical considerations and intellectual pursuit are not the buzzwords anymore."

Transcript: Radia and A Raja
Barkha Dutt again figures in Nira Radia's conversation with disgraced telecom minister A Raja while both plan their moves to firm up raja's position in the Union cabinet.
RADIA: Hello?
Raja: Raja here
RADIA: Hi! I got a message from Barkha Dutt just now
Raja: Huh?
RADIA: : Barkha Dutt
Raja: What does she say?
RADIA: She says... that she has been following up the story with Prime Minister's Office tonight. In fact, she was the one who told me that Sonia Gandhi went there. She says that he has no problem with you, but he has a problem with Baalu
Raja: ...but it has to be discussed with Leader
RADIA: yeah, yeah... he has to discuss with the Leader. He has to tell...
Raja: It will be discussed in the morning... why unnecessarily Congress... tie-up is going out
RADIA: No, but then the question is about Alagiri, no?
Raja: Huh?
RADIA: : Alagiri's people are saying: why is Maran getting Cabinet when he is such a senior leader himself?
Transcript: Radia and Vir Sanghvi
Vir Sanghvi, who writes a weekly column for the Sunday edition of HT, virtually takes a dictation from Radia on what he ought to write in the column. Radia asks him to write against Anil Ambani and the high court decision on the gas pricing controversy:
RADIA: But basically, the point is what has happened as far as the High Court is concerned is a very painful thing for the country because what is done is against national interest.
VIR: Okay.
RADIA: I think that's the underlying message.
VIR: Okay. That message we will do. That allocation of resources which are scarce national resources of a poor country cannot be done in this arbitrary fashion to benefit a few rich people.
RADIA: That's right.
VIR: Yeah. That message we will get across, but what other points do we need to make?
RADIA: I think we need to say that you know it's a lesson for the corporate world that, you know, they need to think through whenever they want to look at this, whether they really seriously do give back to society.
VIR: So I will link it to the election verdict. The fact that there has been so much Narega, that Sonia has committed to including everybody, that it should be inclusive growth. It shouldn't just benefit the few fat cats. It shouldn't be cronyism. It shouldn't be arbitrary. That's how the message for this five years of Manmohan Singh should be-that you have to put an end to this kind of allocations of scarce resources on the basis of corruption and arbitrariness at the cost of the country, otherwise the country will not forgive you.
RADIA: Yeah, but Vir, you have to keep in mind that he has been given the gas field by the Government to operate. He spent ten billion dollars on it.
VIR: Okay.
RADIA: Anil Ambani is getting the benefit without spending a cent on it...
VIR: I'll make those points, no?
RADIA: Yeah. VIR: So I'll make those points. The people, because the system is so corrupt and open to manipulation, by manipulating the system, by not paying anybody you can get hands on resources. Therefore the only way Manmohan Singh hopes to survive is to get a handle on the resources and have some kind of way of allocating them that is transparent, fair and perhaps done by him.
RADIA: But there you will be attacking Mukesh only, no. VIR: Why, why, why, explain that. RADIA: You see, because a resource has been allocated to Mukesh in this case.
VIR: So, what point do you want me to make?
RADIA: The point I'm making is that here, the point is limited to the fact that you cannot have a High Court deciding on this. You cannot have a tribunal deciding on this.....
...RADIA: Yeah. But you want to say that you know, more importantly that here a family MoU has taken precedence over national interest, and what the judge has done... I mean you'll have to attack the judge here because the judge has, what he's done, he's given preference to an MoU. He has held on to the MoU and said, 'Okay, this had to be implemented.' But he has forgotten what's good, that's why it raises a bigger constitutional issue.
VIR: Which is?
RADIA: Which is natural resources is really a constitutional issue. It has to do with the country and the nation.
VIR: It's not between two brothers and their fight.
RADIA: It's not and therefore the judge's interpretation of an MoU...
VIR: Yeah.
RADIA: It cannot be the basis of the way how we can proceed on these sorts of issues. I mean, you have to attack the fact that the judge has only gone into the MoU. His entire judgment is on the basis of the MoU.
VIR: Yeah.
RADIA: And therefore a judgment between two family members cannot be how you decide the future.
VIR: Okay. Let this Rohit come, let me explain to him, and I'll talk to you and tell you what line I'm taking.
RADIA: Okay. And you'll do it for next Sunday, is it?
VIR: No, no tomorrow
COMMUNIST PARTY OF INDIA (MAOIST)
CENTRAL COMMITTEE
Press Release
December 4, 2010
Observe `Black Day' On December 6 Opposing Hindu Communalism!
Rebuild Babri Masjid At The Same Site!
Isolate And Defeat Hindu Fascist Forces!!
Punish Severely Saffron Terrorists Responsible For Malegaon, Mecca Masjid, Ajmer Sherief And
Samjhouta Express Bomb Blasts!
Exactly 18 years ago, on 6th December, 1992, Hindu religious fundamentalist goondas in connivance with the then Congress government at the centre, demolished Babri Masjid at Ayodhya. Firstly, these Hindu fundamentalists made 500 year-old Babri Masjid a controversial site by claiming it as the birth place of Lord Rama and on that pretext many a time instigated communal disturbances in the country killing thousands of Muslims. Demolition of Babri Masjid was the biggest attack by Hindu fascists in the history of our country. The likes of LK Advani, Ashok Singhal, Murali Manohar Joshi, Praveen Togadiya, Uma Bharati, Sadhvi Ritambara, who were directly involved in it were not punished by any court even till today. On 30th September, giving its verdict on the ownership rights of the controversial site, pending for 61 years, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court with its Brahminical Hindu religious ideology did injustice to Muslims. Without any historical evidence and archeological proof it stated the controversial place to be the birth place of Lord Rama. First occupying Masjid, then demolishing, now by giving verdict to build temple, that too to handover the very forces involved in demolition, clarifies Indian state's Hindu fascist mindset. By this verdict, once again it has been proved that the Houses of justice in this country favour only exploitative classes and Brahminical Hindu religious fanatics, but not peasants, workers, dalits, women and religious minorities. By court verdicts a solution to this cannot be found, only by smashing the present system and by establishing New Democratic State, a solution to this can be found.
In the recent past, many evidences surfaced proving the involvement of saffron terrorist groups of the Sagh Parivar in bomb blasts at Malegaon, Ajmer Sherief, Hyderabad's Mecca Masjid, Samjhouta express. The leaders of VHP, RSS, Bajarang Dal and other organizations on the proxy name of `Abhinav Bharat' conspired bomb blasts and killed many innocent people. It has become a norm for the police and intelligence agencies to blame Muslims as culprits, wherever and whenever bomb blasts take place, even if at Masjids. Arresting hundreds of youth without any reason and severely torturing, killing in fake encounters, implicate false cases, accusing of having links with ISI and thus playing with the lives is part of the Hindu communal and fascist policies of the governments. By projecting every Muslim as a terrorist through media, governments are trying to suppress them by all means. Those who demand to hang Ajmal Kasab who is involved in Mumbai attacks, at the same time keeping mum or not raising their voice loudly against Hindu fascist killers of Sangh gang is a dangerous sign. Governments are not arresting these saffron terrorists, even if they arrest a few on some occasions, are setting them free declaring innocent by not conducting thorough probe. On the other hand, those intellectuals, journalists, media organizations, newspapers and activists who dare to raise their voice against these Hindu fundamentalist forces are being attacked by Sangh gang at several places. On the whole, the communal fascistic trends of the Indian state are taking a severe form day by day.
Secular forces of all religions, democrats and progressive thinkers should come forward and fight unitedly against Hindu communal fascism. All of us must condemn the attacks of Hindu fascist forces on Muslims, Christians and all other religious minorities. At the same time all other kinds of religious fundamentalism should be opposed.
Our Party has been maintaining that the place of Babri Masjid belonged to Muslims; it should be given to Muslims and has been demanding that Babri Masjid should be rebuilt at the same site and those fascist leaders who had demolished it must be punished severely. Our Central Committee calls upon all democratic, secular, progressive and revolutionary forces, organizations and parties to support this demand. Our CC also calls upon entire people to observe `BLACK DAY' on December 6, by conducting meetings and processions and wearing black badges in protest of Hindu communalism.

Formation of PLGA a turning point in the Maoist movement K. Srinivas Reddy
— File photo: Akhilesh Kumar
Young Naxalite cadres practise at a training camp in an unidentified village of the Dantewada forests of Chhattisgarh.
HYDERABAD: When Naxalites announced the formation of the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) a decade ago, security agencies dismissed it as an attempt by the rebels to regroup their cadres and propaganda to boost their perceived military strength.
Buoyed as they were by the phenomenal success in killing three Central Committee members on December 2, 1999, in an encounter in Koyyuru, the security agencies misjudged the consequences of what was sought to be projected as a "mere nomenclature change."
Now, the security forces are bracing themselves for intensified attacks in Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal as the Maoists have announced month-long celebrations coinciding with the 10th anniversary of PLGA formation. All these years, the celebrations were only week-long. "This means bigger strikes can be expected in Maoist-affected States," authorities concede.
In retrospect, it becomes clear that the formation of the PLGA — on December 2, 2000, first death anniversary of the "Koyyur martyrs" — helped the underground organisation improve its military capabilities spectacularly and register an impressive spatial spread of revolutionary movement in newer areas. So much so that the Centre now deploys 62 battalions of the Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) for anti-extremist operations in different States.
The PLGA consists of three layers: main, secondary, and base forces. The main force consists of platoons, companies and battalions, while the secondary force comprises local guerrilla squads (LGS) and special guerrilla squads (SGS). The base force consists of people's militia which could form themselves into grama rakshaka dalams (GRDs) or self-defence squads (SDS).
Intelligence agencies estimate that while the main and secondary forces constitute around 3,000 fighters, the number of people's militia constituting the base force could be nearly 30,000.
Structural change
The formation of the PLGA, in essence, ushered in a major structural change in the Maoist organisation. Party cadres earlier had responsibilities of military tasks as well as organisational work. With the PLGA formation, the military and organisational work was separated.
Since its inception, the PLGA has waged a relentless war against the security forces, and in the last decade, the rebels killed 2,000 security personnel, injured as many, and snatched nearly 2,500 weapons and one lakh rounds of ammunition, a Maoist document says.
A clear hierarchy has helped the Maoist military wing improve its strike capabilities. A decade ago, its capabilities were limited to hit-and-run attacks against two-or three-member police teams. Today, the PLGA is able to encircle its security forces and engage them in close quarter battles while moving in large formations. It took them just 10 years to improve from hit-and-run tactics to encirclement.
On the organisational level, the PLGA has developed from a force of one or two platoons to having companies and a battalion now. Police officers confirm that the newly formed 10 {+t} {+h} company of the PLGA was moving in the Mahasamund area of Chhattisgarh, barely 70 km from the capital, Raipur.
Another achievement of the PLGA has been transfer of technology. The technology for making and planting Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) has been successfully imparted to the large 30,000 base force. "The making and use of IEDs has now taken a mass form," another Maoist document discloses.
Maoist ideologues take the example of the Mukuram ambush, in Chhattisgarh, on April 6, 2010, in which 75 CRPF men were killed, saying that such attacks on the principles of mobile warfare had blunted the initiative of Operation Green Hunt.
By forcing the security forces to curtail their movements, the Maoists could form Janatana Sarkars (self-government units) in as many as 300 panchayat areas in Bastar (constituting 20 guerrilla bases). Nearly 2,000 villages are being administered by these Janatana Sarkars, the Maoists claim. More than one lakh families occupied three lakh acres of land in nearly 5,000 villages or hamlets in Bastar, all due to the PLGA's intervention.
However, there was an imbalance as well. Before the PLGA came into existence, the Maoist party focussed more on organisational activity and less on militarisation. But now, the party faces the criticism that it gives more importance to military aspects than organisational work. This imbalance has led to a situation where the rebel movement is unable to strike roots in urban and plain areas.
The other drawback, Maoist leaders concede, was the party's inability to win over the non-tribal sections and non-farmer sections among the tribals, even in their struggle areas.
Despite the PLGA's manifold increase in military strength, the security forces managed to hit them severely by killing or arresting top cadre leaders — including directors of military intelligence Patel Sudhakar Reddy and Sakhamuri Appa Rao — in recent times. As many as 17 other top leaders were either killed or arrested over the last two years.
Ramesh instrumental in bridging gaps in Cancun climate talks
CANCUN: Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh has been praised for his role as a bridge-builder on contentious issues at the UN climate conference here which ended with a deal to curb global warming , including a $ 100 billion fund to help developing countries.
The two-week long conference closed on Friday with "Cancun Agreement," which marked some progress for finance, technology, adaptation and transparency, but isn't viewed as a decisive boost for combating climate change.
"The minister (Ramesh) has been instrumental in bridging gaps," Mohamed Aslam, the environment minister of Maldives, told PTI.
"He has been reaching out to the AOSIS nations as well as to developed countries," he said.
Aslam was referring to the Alliance of Small Island States, which are most vulnerable to climate change and want developed countries as well as emerging economies, especially China and India, to take on hefty legally binding emission cuts.
The UN climate conference on early hours of Saturday reached a "compromise" to set up a $ 100 billion 'Green Fund' to fight global warming, a decision India described as an "important step forward", but there was no agreement on extending the landmark Kyoto Protocol on emissions cuts beyond 2012.
"We are very happy with the text," Ramesh earlier said, noting that the major emerging economies -- Brazil, South Africa, India and China (BASIC) -- had welcomed the decision.
"Cancun represents an important step forward," he said.
Progress at the conference includes a broad agreement on technology-sharing mechanism that will ensure that poor and vulnerable countries are able to access green technologies easily and in a cost-effective manner.
A 'Green Fund' has been set up that is expected to mobilise $ 100 billion per year by 2020, which will be given to developing countries for adaptation and mitigation purposes.
The nitty-gritty of the technology and finance mechanism still needs to be worked out. Bolivia was the sole country to oppose the decision in Cancun, but was eventually overruled.
According to Ramesh, many of India's contributions had been incorporated in the text, including the International Consultation and Analysis, which is a transparency mechanism to review whether developing countries are carrying out their domestic mitigation actions.
10 DEC, 2010, 11.03AM IST, BHARTI JAIN,ET BUREAUHome Ministry orders probe into leak of IB report that spooked markets
The home ministry has ordered an internal inquiry into the source and possible motive behind the leak of a 'secret' Intelligence Bureau report that spooked the stock market.
The inquiry is expected to be completed in two weeks. In the report dated September 20, IB has named operators, promoters of firms they colluded with to rig up stocks and even a few institutions to whom securities were palmed off at bloated prices.
"We are seized of the matter and its impact on the markets. Since we believe that the IB report was possibly leaked by someone in the MHA, we ordered a probe around 8-10 days ago to trace the source of the leakage," a senior MHA official told ET.
According to the official, everybody in the home ministry — right from top officials to peons — is under the scanner. The investigation will track the movement of the IB file as well as who all could have gained access to it.
The official denied that the probe was ordered at the behest of market regulator Sebi, saying that the latter had never approached it. "We ordered the inquiry on our own, based on media reports pertaining to the IB report," he said.
What unnerved the market was the timing of the leak. A day after the media got a whiff of the report, Sebi issued an order banning some operators from the market. "Some names the media picked up from the report also found figured in the Sebi order...That was scary," said a trader at the proprietary desk of a leading brokerage.
Some of the earlier reports which the media got hold of were loose compilation of market intelligence inputs. But this time, the report had specific details like security volumes, amounts involved and even intermediaries through which transactions were executed.
According to a central government official, such reports are never exchanged between IB officials over the internet. "They follow the age-old system of exchanging hard copies. This involves taking printouts and photostat copies. There are multiple points where leaks can happen," he said.
Copies of the IB report has been in circulation in the market for more than a week now. It talks about alleged market manipulations by operators like Ketan Parekh, Vimal Rathod, Sanjay Dangi, Raju Barter, Ashok Poddar, Manish Marwah, Dinesh Singhania, Raj Agarwal and C Sivasankaran.
Given the nature of details in the report, several brokers suspect the government agency may have selectively tapped telephone conversations of some operators.
"This has scared the market because some brokerages also carry out stock placement deals using their own prop books," said another dealer.
The report points out possible manipulation of stocks like Ruchi Soya, KS Oil, SKS Microfinance, Ackruti City, Karuturi Global, Orchid Chemicals, Cairn India and Hindustan Oil Exploration, among others.
Share prices of many small and mid-cap companies have been sliding in anticipation of a crackdown by regulators on stock market operators named in the IB report.
Stocks in the BSE small-cap index that have fallen after the report surfaced include Parekh Aluminex , Midfield Industries and Comfort Intech . In the BSE mid-cap index, Ruchi Soya, KS Oil and Shree Ashtavinayak have seen a slide.
Patnaik meets rain-hit farmers, promises help
BERHAMPUR: With farmers agitating in several parts of Orissa to press for adequate compensation to crop damage due to unseasonal rains, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said an assistance package would be announced for them soon.
"The government will soon come out with a package to assist the affected farmers," he said during a visit to affected villages in Ganjam district.
Patnaik, accompanied by Revenue Minister S N Patro and Chief Secretary B K Patnaik, went around several parts of Gajapati, Balangir and Sonepur to assess the damage to crops due to unseasonal rains for five days.
Besides paddy, sugarcane crop was also damaged in the rain, General Secretary of Ganjam District Sugarcane Growers' Association Samir Pradhan said.
They requested Patnaik to write off the crop loan and grant adequate compensation for the loss.
Patnaik's visit to rain-hit areas followed farmers' agitation demanding compensation for crop loss due to rain, with opposition parties including Congress lending support.
Several demonstrations were staged by farmers in Ganjam and nearby areas.
With the paddy crop covering 2.23 lakh hectares in the kharif season, farmers in Ganjam district were expecting a yield of 35 quintal per hectare this year as against last year's 30.60 quintal per hectare.

Obama calls WikiLeaks' "deplorable": White House
WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama told Turkish and Mexican leaders on Saturday that WikiLeaks' actions were "deplorable" as the U.S. administration kept up damage control efforts over the website's embarrassing release of masses of secret U.S. cables. In Obama's separate calls with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and Mexican President Felipe Calderon , the leaders all agreed that WikiLeaks' campaign would not harm their countries' ties with Washington, the White House said.
The leaks touching on U.S. relations in virtually every part of the world have threatened to increase tensions with allies, spurring U.S. officials to seek to prevent foreign friends from reducing engagement on sensitive matters.
Documents relating to Turkey showed U.S. diplomats casting doubt on the reliability of their NATO ally and portraying its leadership as divided.
In Obama's call to Erdogan on Saturday, the two discussed "the enduring importance of the U.S.-Turkish partnership and affirmed their commitment to work together on a broad range of issues," the White House said.
"The president expressed his regrets for the deplorable action by WikiLeaks and the two leaders agreed that it will not influence or disrupt the close cooperation between the United States and Turkey," it said.
Obama made similar comments to Calderon, which the U.S. leader used to praise his Mexican counterpart for the outcome of an international climate change conference in Cancun .
"The presidents also underscored the importance of the U.S.-Mexico partnership across a broad range of issues," the White House said. "The presidents discussed the deplorable actions by WikiLeaks and agreed its irresponsible acts should not distract our two countries from our important cooperation."
According to U.S. State Department documents made public by WikiLeaks, a top Mexican official said the government was in danger of losing control of parts of the country to powerful drug cartels.
Anti-WikiLeaks bill introduced in US Congress
WASHINGTON: US lawmakers have introduced legislations in the Congress which is aimed at stopping the whistle-blower website WikiLeaks by making it illegal to publish the names of military or intelligence community informants.
The House version of the bill was introduced in the House of Representatives yesterday by Congressman, the Senate version was introduced last week by Senators John Ensign , Joe Lieberman and Scott Brown.
The move comes in response to WikiLeaks' publication of thousands of classified diplomatic cables.
The Securing Human Intelligence and Enforcing Lawful Dissemination Act (SHIELD) would give the government the flexibility to pursue Assange for allegedly outing confidential US informants.
Ranking Member and Chairman-elect of the House Committee on Homeland Security, King said the legislation will give the Department of Justice additional tools to prosecute future disclosures by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange or others.
King had previously called on Attorney General Eric Holder to prosecute Julian Assange - the WikiLeaks founder and editor in chief -- under the Espionage Act.
This legislation expands the Attorney General's authority to prosecute leaks of intelligence, he said.
"Julian Assange and his associates who operate and support WikiLeaks have not only damaged US national security with their releases of classified documents, but also placed at risk countless lives, including those of our Nation's intelligence sources around the world," King said.
"WikiLeaks presents a clear and present danger to the national security of the United States, and Julian Assange, an enemy of the US, should be prosecuted under the Espionage Act. This legislation will give the Attorney General additional tools to do just that," he said.
Obama ropes in Bill Clinton to save his tax deal
WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama today roped in former President Bill Clinton as part of his effort to support his tax-cut compromise with Republican lawmakers, which is now being opposed by his own Democratic Congressmen.
Clinton along with Obama made a surprise appearance at the press room of the White House after the two had a long meeting at the Oval Office.
Noting that while the deal is far from perfect, Clinton said lawmakers should approve the deal proposed by Obama to extend all income tax rates for two years in exchange for an extension in unemployment benefits and other middle- class tax breaks.
"The extension of unemployment, which gives people a percentage of the income they were previously making, that money will be spent and it will bolster the economy for the next couple of years," he said.
"This agreement will really help America over the long term, because it continues the credits for manufacturing jobs related to energy coming in to America," Clinton said.
"So in my opinion, this is a good bill. And I hope that my fellow Democrats will support it. I thank the Republican leaders for agreeing to include things that were important to the President," he said.
"An embattled president, fresh off an electoral shellacking and struggling to sell a controversial tax deal to members of his own party, turned to a former president who, exactly 16 years ago, was struggling to right his own presidency after a defeat of almost similar magnitude," reported The Washington Post.
Obama had invited Clinton to the White House for a private talk, but their public appearance will long be remembered, the daily said.
"Obama's move is extraordinary -- essentially handing over control of the briefing room to the former Democratic president, with whom Obama had clashed when running for president against former first lady Hillary Clinton. Obama then left the former president alone at the podium, allowing him to field questions from the press," The Hill reported.
Obama said he had a terrific conversation with Bill Clinton.
"I just had a terrific meeting with the former President Bill Clinton. And we just happened to have this as a topic of conversation. And I thought, given the fact that he presided over as good an economy as we've seen in our lifetimes, that it might be useful for him to share some of his thoughts," Obama said.
"The image on the television screen - of Clinton at the White House, behind the official podium - had a time-warp quality to it," The New York Times said.
"The decision to ask Clinton to the White House, and then to have him make a public statement, reflects the desire by the White House to counter the anger among liberal Democrats, who have accused Obama of caving too quickly on the tax deal," the daily said.
No cause for panic in stock market, says FM
MUMBAI: Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said that there is no cause for panic on the stock market reaction to an Intelligence Bureau (IB) report alleging that manipulation in certain stocks had taken place.
"There is no cause for panic on the market reaction. After that, the market has stabilised -- it has gone up by more than 200 points," Mukherjee told reporters after taking a review meeting of the Income Tax Department here.
"Sebi is there to look into it (stock market reaction)--I don't feel there is any cause for panic," he said.
The Intelligence Bureau has reportedly come up with a report recently naming some operators allegedly indulging in price manipulation. The BSE benchmark index Sensex fell by over 2 per cent last week due to concerns over regulatory crackdown on companies and an ongoing probe into the 2G spectrum scam.
The Finance Minister said that at this time of the year, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) normally withdraw money because of their financial year-ending.
"You should remember that at this time of the year, FIIs withdraw money because of the year-ending as many of them have a system of closing with the calender year," he said.
Nitesh Estates launches Rs 300 cr villa project in Goa
MUMBAI: In a bid to grab a substantial share of the growing luxury real-estate market, leading developerNitesh Estates has launched a Rs 300 crore high-end villa project in Goa.
International architects CPG and interior design firm Warner Wong have designed the project, Nitesh Fisher Island , targeted at premium-end customers.
To be developed across 9.3 acres in the picturesque landscape of Goa, the project would have 36 luxury villas and will be completed in two to three years, the company said.
"The natural scenic beauty of the location was the most compelling reason for creating this villa community. It is located on the banks of the river Sal and is close to the pristine white sandy beaches in South Goa," Nitesh Estate's Chief Operating Officer, Ashwini Kumar, said in a statement.
Priced at Rs 8-10 crore, the project is targeted at the upper-crust from India and abroad, who are looking at owning an exclusive property, Kumar said.
"Luxury knows no bounds and the properties are designed to include everything that pampers your soul, mind and body. It is for those jet-setting people who are looking to steal quality time and are looking for a resort-like experience," Kumar said.
Each villa has a spa and a private swimming pool, beside, having a common water sports, jetty and everything else that one could desire for, he added.
Over 70 per cent of the project area is covered with landscaping and water bodies, which have been designed by international landscape firm, Belt Collins .

Congress played minority politics post 26/11
New Delhi: The United States believed that the Congress party backed the "outlandish" conspiracy theories over the death of Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare in the 26/11 attack for "crass" political gains.A diplomatic cable that is part of the latest disclosures by WikiLeaks, reveals that the then US Ambassador to India, David Mulford, wrote to Washington that the Congress, despite having done well in the recent state elections, made a "cynical political calculation" to boost the conspiracy theory.
The secret cable -- sent a month after the Mumbai terrorist attack and revealed, extraordinarily, the day after senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh told The Indian Express that his first "shocked and demoralised" reaction on hearing of Karkare's death had been 'Oh my God, they (rightwing Hindu groups opposed to his probe into the Malegaon bombing) have killed him' -- shows that the US thought that the Congress went on to "implicitly endorse the conspiracy" after initially distancing itself from the then minority affairs minister AR Antulay's "completely unsubstantiated claims".
Days after Karkare's assassination, Antulay had said the chief of the Maharashtra ATS could have been a victim of "terrorism or terrorism plus something".
"Antulay's completely unsubstantiated claims gained support in the conspiracy-minded Indian-Muslim community. Hoping to foster that support for upcoming national elections, the Congress Party cynically pulled back from its original dismissal and lent credence to the conspiracy," Mulford wrote.
However, regardless of later dismissals of Antulay's claim by the Congress, the "Indian Muslim community will continue to believe they are unfairly targeted by law enforcement and that those who investigate the truth are silenced", the Ambassador added.
According to Mulford, the Congress's about-turn from initially dismissing Antulay's statement was based on narrow identity politics.
"As support seemed to swell among Muslims for Antulay's unsubstantiated claims, crass political opportunism swayed the thinking of some Congress Party leaders. What's more, the party made the cynical political calculation to lend credence to the conspiracy even after its recent emboldening state elections victories," reads the envoy's cable.
The Congress, Mulford wrote, "will readily stoop to the old caste/religious-based politics if it feels it is in its interest... While cooler heads eventually prevailed within the Congress leadership, the idea that the party would entertain such outlandish claims proved once again that many party leaders are still wedded to the old identity politics".
Antulay, the cable reads, was "probably bewildered to find that his remarks, similar in vein to what he would have routinely made in the past to attack the BJP, created such a furor this time".
On Saturday, the Congress said that the purported contents of the leaked cable were communication between a US Ambassador and his government, to which it could not react.
"All Ambassadors and High Commissioners keep on giving reports to their respective governments. This is between the two of them (Mulford and the US government). Any responsible party cannot react to claims made by anybody, which are not authenticated," Congress media department chairman Janardan Dwivedi said.
