The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation will share Qurban blessing with two million people in 125 countries and regions and 61 provinces in Turkey through its 2010 Qurban Organization.

In 2009, the foundation reached out to 1,250,000 people with 35,639 Qurban shares, and is going to organize Qurban campaigns in countries and regions hit by wars and crises such as Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Pattani, Moro, Darfur and Somalia, in natural disaster regions, refugee camps, regions under missionary influence,

in countries where Muslims are in minority, and where poverty is widespread. In this years Eid al-Adha, we will visit orphans in a number of countries from Far East to Latin America to give them clothes and educational materials.

The price per Qurban for this year, including all organization expenses, in all countries and regions is 300 Turkish liras.

GAZZE I SHIP TO SET OUT FOR PAKISTAN

The Gazze I ship that will set out from Istanbul on November will take 3,000 tons of humanitarian supplies to Pakistan.

The Gazze I cargo ship took part in the flotilla that tried to take humanitarian aid to Gaza in May is now preparing to carry aid to Pakistan in the coming days. It will depart from Istanbul on November and will deliver 3,000 tons cargo of relief supplies to Pakistan ahead of Eid al-Adha. In this way, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation will have delivered aid to the Pakistani people with cargo aircraft, freight train and the Gazze I ship.

Pakistan suffered from the worst floods in its history last July that were triggered by heavy monsoon rainfall and still remains inundated. Thirty out of 170 million Pakistani people were affected. Emergency aid is still needed three months after the floods in areas where flood waters have not receded yet.

The IHH is coordinating aid deliveries to affected people with local offices set up in six regions (Nowshera, D. I. Khan, Muzaffargarh, Sukkur, Muzaffarabad and Skardu). The foundation has built tent camps in four different areas and is building permanent houses for the victims. The construction of 100 houses that were started in September has completed. Affected families will have moved to the houses by Eid al-Adha. As part of the project 1,000 houses will be constructed. The foundation will also build a 50-house prefabricated village in Hamzawala area.

Ongoing aid works in Pakistan:

a) Construction projects (houses, schools, health clinics, prefabricated villages, tent camps)

b) Health services (clinic services, medication supplies, hospital restoration, setting up a diarrhea treatment center)

f) Construction of water treatment plants and water wells
