SCHOOL EDUCATION - HEADING TOWARDS MORE CRISES

SCHOOL EDUCATION - HEADING TOWARDS MORE CRISES

Shutting down all most all the private schools for a day in Haryana on 25 February 2012 in protest against the 25% EWS quota is an indication of the fact that the private school managements are running schools not for community service but for profits. School managements are similarly protesting all over the country. These managements do not at all believe in the inclusive education where children of rich and poor can study together. The private schools cannot run away from their constitutional and statutory obligation to provide admission in at least 25% seats to the children belonging to disadvantaged group and economically weaker section. Governments must ensure implementation of the law by these private schools and take strict action against the erring school managements.
