Kamrupi script Rev-4 community validation

Kamrupi script Rev-4 community validation

Friends, -Kamarupi (Kamrupi) script Rev-4 is now open for "community validation".
In addition to listed scholars, one can use scriptures composed by Hemasaraswati and Gopalacharanadwiz as well as Narayanadasha.

VALIDATION GUIDELINE

This Kamarupi script-set has come from the adobe of Copperplate and Sachi-paper scriptures.
The yesteryear scriptures used from the scholars include:-
Madhavakandali (composer of Kamrupi Ramayana hymns),
Ramasarasvati (born in Patachoura Dalibari, composer of Kamrupi Mahabharata hymns) ,
Chandrakandali (born in Routa, composer of some sections of the hymns of Kamrupi Bhagavad)
Madhavadeva (born in Rangpur, composer of Vaishnava devotional songs Bargeet as well as Naamghosha).

  • A validator shall get Copperplate scripture image(s) composed during 12 century or earlier.
  • A validator shall get Sachi-paper scripture image(s) of any or all above-listed scholars.
  • Choose oldest looking Sachi-paper scriptures as these scriptures have been duplicated by copywriters for centuries.
  • Use high resolution digital camera to create image; seek help from experts to avoid any damage to any scripture.
Now get the high resolution image to computer. Then research for any rarely used letter/symbol.
A rarely used letter/symbol is potential candidate that will replace its equivalent letter/symbol presented in Kamarupi script presented in the subsequent section. Any letter/symbol not found in KAMARUPI SCRIPT (see link) is also potential candidate to be encoded.

Please email your finding along with a JPG image to contact email in footnote of this document.

EXPECTED OUTCOME OF VALIDATION

An authentic hand-written style of Kamarupi-script will be ready by end of this validation.
This hand-written style will then be shaped to a printing style of the script-set.
The printing style of the script-set will be used for international standards code-set

Thanks, -Rabin
