Hi! Good morning. There appears to be some confusion on why this group has been started and what it aims to achieve. Let me try and provide a perspective. Why have we started this Group? Cause No 1 is to promote The Weekend Leader – which is devoted to Positive Journalism. Since we launched on September 3rd, we have carried over forty stories – many of them on unsung heroes of this country. We want more people to know about our site and read our stories. The idea is to let people know that apart from the corruption, crime, accidents and calamities taking place in the country, there is positive news as well. We look at news from a positive perspective. For example, instead of lamenting about pollution, we are writing about people who are doing their bit to conserve nature. We can be effective and influence the way most people think and deal with issues facing them in a positive manner, only if we could reach out to more number of people. So, we decided to seek the help of our committed readers in taking this message to their family and friends. If each of you could tell about The Weekend Leader to one of your friends everyday, our readership would grow exponentially. Another easier way of doing it is to post a simple message on your Facebook wall like – Check out The Weekend Leader (http://www.facebook.com/l/27603yoaGZm5Vx5ZX9imax0p57A;www.theweekendleader.com) for inspiring stories – or any other line you could think of. You could add a brief review of the site, if you wish to. By doing this, you are helping the faceless people we are profiling being known to a wider audience. Isn't this a cause that is worth supporting? Please give it a thought. And please let us not post messages on this page, which is turning off many readers from this group. Thanks so much for your cooperation and support.
