If successful, Ameli would be the first Iranian American on the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Contributions from this benefit concert will provide humanitarian aid to Iranian refugees with urgent living expenses and will be managed by Iranian Refugees' Alliance, Scholars At Risk, and Omid Advocates.

Iranian singer-songwriter Mohsen Namjoo will perform live in Los Angeles at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on June 20, 2010 accompanied by Virtuoso Pianist Tara Kamangar along with a full band ensemble. Born in 1976 in Torbat-e Jam, a small town in northeastern Iran, Namjoo's audacious brand of Persian music makes a unique connection with his audience that transcends national boundaries. Namjoo has single handedly transformed Persian music connecting this ancient tradition with today's world.
