Nonetheless, when all their efforts, in India and abroad, failed to
strike a chord with the masses, in Anna Hazare's anti-graft movement
they found a face saver. Opportunist as they are, they immediately
started hobnobbing with the veteran activist. Anna Hazare's crusade
against corruption is well known, and older and stronger than the
pseudo-nationalist's fight against the terror. It is because of his
selfless fight against corruption that people have lovingly started
calling him a Modern Day Gandhi. His cause is noble and his fight is
most timely. His crusade against corruption has made him the darling
of almost the entire nation. But, as a true lover, it is painful for
me to see that the Modern Day Nero is openly flirting with him and the
Modern Day Gandhi is not even resisting.
