Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami wishes success of the Indian Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Bangladesh

Acting Ameer wishes success of the Indian Prime Minister's upcoming visit to Bangladesh

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 1st June, 2015 felicitating the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Ministers of several Indian states on the eve of their upcoming visit to Bangladesh.
"The Honorable Prime Minister of India and the Chief Ministers of several Indian states including Pashchimbanga are coming to visit Bangladesh on 6th and 7th June. I am welcoming all the Excellencies to Bangladesh. India is our neighboring country and the relationship with India is extremely significant for Bangladesh. I do believe and expect that the ensuing trip of the Indian Prime Minister would help to resolve all the existing problems between Bangladesh and India. Particularly, on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami and the people of Bangladesh, we are expecting that, the leaders of the two nations would address the pending crisis with the enclave's exchanges, land transfer, disputed demarcation of land boundaries and the citizenship crisis of the enclave residents and ensuring their fundamental rights.
The people of Bangladesh are also expecting to be secured their due rights from the water of Teesta River. They further hope, Indian authority would take effective steps to shutdown the construction of controversial Tipaimukh dam and also to stop the killing of the civilians at the frontier by the Indian security force, BSF.
We further hope that the upcoming trip of the Indian Premier would help to bolster the bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and India. It would also strengthen the trade and economic relationship of these two friendly countries. We also expect, this trip would be able to meet the hope and expectation of the people of two countries and keeping their independence and sovereignty intact, both countries would play due role to move towards progress and prosperity.
I am wishing utmost success of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bangladesh."
