MARCH AGAINST RAPE & SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Meet at COLLEGE SQUARE from 3.00 P.M., opposite Calcutta University College Street Campus, March starts at 4 pm

Did you know that West Bengal has consistently recorded the 2nd highest number of rape cases in India for the past 7 years?

Recent events highlight how unsafe it is for women to move around in West Bengal.  Women have been raped and sexually harassed in trains, cars, buses, hospitals, educational institutions, workplaces, homes and the streets.

To make matters worse, the State of West Bengal including the Chief Minister and the Transport Minister have been casting aspersions on the veracity of the cases of rape before they were investigated.

On 19 March, Join the March against Rape and Sexual Harassment

So women can walk safe tomorrow.

WEAR BLACK IN ANY FORM TO SHOW YOUR PROTEST

Be there If You Care

Share the event on facebook with your friends  http://www.facebook.com/#!/events/393587727337364/

Organised by Maitree, a network of women's rights organisations and individuals
