Dear friend,

Needless to mention to you the situation of capitalist socio-economic order (plunder) and the protests going on against it across the globe. Be it Tahrir-square or Wall Street, Greece or Chile; students, workers and in general a new generation is basically the most vibrant force, who are coming to streets with the voice of protest. While these movements encourage an enthusiasm and hope for wide ranging social change, they also highlight the need for an organized and coordinated effort against this mammoth system with its repressive state apparatuses and deep ideological hegemony.

The Indian state having already opened itself for the unrestricted plunder of the resources and labour of its masses is only intensifying its efforts at making higher profits easier for the big businesses and corporations. This it is doing at the cost of slackening labour laws, rising prices, lowering levels of employment, a deep crisis in environment and agriculture, and among other things, the continuous erosion of all hopes of a good life for most of its population.

We want to face these challenges thrown to us by our times, with the imagination of revolutionary transformation of this society, a journey towards a society of free humanity. We also know well, the complexity of this task and the burdens of mistakes committed by the revolutionary movements and organizations of the last century. But our skepticism cannot nullify our imagination of the struggle for alternatives. In the arena of struggles we will daily put ourselves to the test of our sincerity, courage and perseverance. In course of our struggles we will learn the history of the world, its past and present, its disgrace, its glory, its blunders and limitations. In course of our daily journey we will hold fast to the truth -- those aspiring for making themselves the architects of a superior civilization, will first of all change themselves, bit by bit, every hour, every moment.

We are trying to form a revolutionary youth organization (Krantikari Naujwan Sabha) to carry forward the revolutionary legacy of past struggles for envisaging a different form of society and culture. We will flag off this journey by observing the day of martyrdom of Bhagat Singh on the 23rd of March, 2012 at "Juva Kendra" auditorium, Moulali, Kolkata. Hope, we will find you by our side in the march to a more dignified future for all.

Comradely Greetings

Parag (convenor, preparatory committee, Krantikari Naujawan Sabha)
